Outside of work, you can likely find her curled up on with a hot cup of coffee, practicing yoga, baking, or exploring the beautiful Lone Star State (in particular, the vast and mystical West Texas desert).
We have several gorgeous spots to make a splash here in Texas, but the trails leading to them are criminally underrated. At Blue Hole Park in Georgetown, this short and sweet riverside hike just might be more beautiful than the destination itself.
Clocking in at just 1.3 miles round-trip, Pickett Trail is a short and sweet little hike in Blue Hole Park. It's lined with trees for the entire duration, offering plenty of shade to keep you cool.
Rocky hill climbs are interspersed between stretches of flat terrain, so you'll never know what's waiting around the corner. This ever-changing landscape makes for an absolutely unforgettable outdoor adventure.
Across the stream, a small beach almost taunts hikers with its pristine white sand. Maybe you'll find a way over there to indulge in some relaxation after working up a sweat.
At the trail's end, you'll come upon a little spillway that creates a miniature waterfall. Take a second to close your eyes and get lost in the powerful roar; this is bliss if we've ever experienced it.
