Outside of work, you can likely find her curled up on with a hot cup of coffee, practicing yoga, baking, or exploring the beautiful Lone Star State (in particular, the vast and mystical West Texas desert).
This quirky little town might be home to less than 2000 people, but it sure knows how to do one of our favorite foods in a big way.
Dozens of homemade, artisan cheeses and gourmet eats like a mac & cheese-stuffed grilled cheese guarantee you’ll need to be rolled home like a wheel of the stuff when all is said and done. This is Texas Cheese House, and it’s the unassuming store you never knew you needed to visit.
Located in the heart of historic downtown Lorena, this unassuming little store is home to some of the best cheese in Texas.
No fillers or preservatives, or dyes are added, and the milk used is free from hormones and antibiotics. The store also carries selections from other local cheese makers, including goat cheese for those with a lactose allergy.

Want to learn all about the art of serving cheese? You'll be the best host on earth after taking this class.
Periodically, the store hosts a workshop to teach the ins and outs of putting together a cheese plate to people who frequently cater to large groups. They'll even offer advice as to what type of wine goes best with each cheese.
Fluffy, gourmet bakery bread is filled with artisan meats + cheese of your choice as well as specialty sauces to create a flavor explosion in your mouth. Get a head start on Thanksgiving with turkey, Asiago, and honey-cranberry sauce, or take a trip to Italy and enjoy mozzarella, ham, pesto, and tomato on garlic-infused bread.
If a massive bowl of cheesy carbs is more your style, they've got you covered.
The macaroni is loaded with four or more cheese, and you can also get it "Animal Style" with ham and hot sauce. It's available in both cup and bowl size, but a concoction this mouthwatering leaves no room for small appetites.
You'll also find plenty of oils, jellies, and sauces for sale to use in making your own mind-blowing meals.
From gourmet grilled cheese to big, beautiful charcuterie boards, all your favorite eats can be given a fancy makeover guaranteed to convince people they're eating restaurant food.
We're not quite finished yet - after all, no meal is complete without dessert!
Don't worry, none of these handmade truffles have cheese in them (but we have no doubt Texas Cheese House could pull that off somehow.)
