If you have yet to experience a Dallas Arboretum Christmas, don’t let another year pass you by without doing so. This 66-acre botanical garden is one of the best places in Texas to celebrate the holiday season, with millions of lights, beautiful displays, and activities for the whole family.
Every year at Christmastime, the Dallas Arboretum turns into a winter wonderland with its annual "Holiday at the Arboretum" event.
Presented by Reliant, this award-winning spectacle features millions of lights, a Christmas village, and many more festive attractions to make your holiday season merry and bright.
Visitors can stroll through the 66-acre, perfectly manicured botanical garden and marvel at Victorian-style gazebos that showcase each of the "Twelve Days of Christmas" from the classic English carol.
In the evenings, guests can sing and dance to holiday tunes around a 50-foot-tall Christmas tree adorned with 42,000 lights that all twinkle in time with the music.
If you'd like to elevate your experience even further, consider participating in some of the exclusive activities that aren't included with general admission.
From a three-course tea to an elegant holiday meal to even a kids' truffle-making class, there are so many ways to celebrate the season at the Dallas Arboretum.
While you're here, you must take a tour of the historic DeGolyer House. Its halls are decked to the nines this time of year, and it adds a little something extra-special to the Holiday at the Arboretum experience.
Also in the DeGolyer House, a brand new exhibit entitled The Artistry of Faith & Culture illustrates the three major holidays celebrated around the world in December: Christmas, Hannukah, and Kwanzaa. There is also a special exhibit featuring Diwali, an Indian festival that takes place in late October.
Holiday at the Arboretum is open both during the day and at night; however, your ticket is only good for one or the other. Tickets must be reserved in advance.
