Ice cream is the perfect treat on a scorching hot Texas summer day, but there are only so many flavors to try before it gets a tad boring. For something new, stop by Curly’s Frozen Custard in Fort Worth to experience a treat like nothing you’ve ever tasted before.
Since 2001, Curly's has been serving up a different take on frozen desserts to the citizens of Fort Worth. Owner Bourke Harvey uses Indonesian Vanilla as well as a few other rare ingredients to concoct a delicious treat like nothing you've ever tasted.
Custard isn't the only thing this little shop dishes out - nostalgia is the most popular item on the menu. A walk-up window lets you order your dessert to-go for enjoyment at home or on the patio. Indoor seating is available as well if you prefer.
You get to create your own sundae with either vanilla, chocolate, sugar-free vanilla or lemon custard and one topping. Reese's cups, oreos, and cookie dough are just a few of a laundry list of goodies to add to your cup (or cone).
There's also a rotating Flavor of the Month to shake up the menu a bit. July & August are both Parker County Peach, made with only the freshest, most juicy peaches around. There are huge chunks in every bite!
No scene defines summer quite as perfectly as enjoying some ice cream outdoors while watching the sunset and reminiscing on cherished childhood memories. We can't think of a better way to spend an evening with the family.
So if you're bored of your usual ice cream and want to try a new kind of frozen dessert, stop by Curly's next time you're in the DFW area. One bite and your taste buds will be in heaven.
Curly’s is located at 4017 Camp Bowie Blvd, Fort Worth, TX 76107. Have you ever been here? Are there any other custard shops in Texas that deserve a visit?
