Waterfront restaurants abound here in Texas, but few are as remote as RiverBend in Karnack. Nestled along the quiet shores of Caddo Lake, the world’s largest Cypress Forest, this seafood lover’s paradise has views almost as good as the food.

Located on the remote and mysterious Caddo Lake, RiverBend Restaurant is the definition of a hidden gem. Not only does this little-known eatery offer some of the best seafood in East Texas, but it also boasts incredible waterfront views.
A covered patio looks out over the world's largest cypress forest, offering vistas of gently swaying leaves and the occasional paddler. This is our idea of paradise here in the Piney Woods.
In the event of adverse weather and to accommodate more guests, indoor seating is also available. Nautical decor keeps the theme going, and you can still catch glimpses of the water through several large windows. No matter where you sit, expect attentive service with a smile.
As far as the food, this place is a dream-come-true for seafood lovers. Start off with some fried alligator before moving onto catfish fresh from the bayou, ribeye steak, a juicy cheeseburger, or one of many other items.
If you want something a bit lighter but still packed with flavor, opt for the RiverBend Special. Blackened catfish is topped with a Creole crawfish sauce, served over a bed of rice, and plated alongside a seasoned vegetable medley. This zesty meal is guaranteed to make your taste buds sing with delight!
This hauntingly beautiful scene is the perfect backdrop for enjoying a leisurely, home-cooked meal. Good company, delicious food, and mesmerizing views -- what more could you want in a restaurant?
