Are you looking for a one-of-a-kind restaurant that has it all: atmosphere, delicious food, great service, and an amazing view? Look no further! This floating restaurant is all of that and more, and it’s destined to become a local landmark.
An island on the lake, the Gar is only accessible by boat. That definitely makes finding a parking spot a tad easier!
The restaurant actually just upgraded to this building last year, so it's still fairly new. If you haven't checked it out yet, you'd better hurry before all the excitement wears off (though we doubt that'll happen any time soon).
Outdoor seating abounds, but you can certainly sit inside if that's more your style. There's live music to listen to often, and occasional fun events like trivia night.
Of course we have to recommend enjoying your meal outside. This view just can't be beat. Plus, you can even buy boat supplies, sundries, snacks, and drinks at their ship store for your day out on the lake.
As far as the food, it doesn't get much fresher than this. Balsamic salmon, Ahi tuna, and fish 'n chips are just some of the seafood options on the menu.
