Waterfront restaurants are so last year…now, dining on the water is where it’s at. You can do just that at The Gnarly Gar, a floating eatery on Lake Travis that serves up fresh seafood, Southern comforts, and epic drinks.

Located directly on the gorgeous Lake Travis, The Gnarly Gar is a floating restaurant that offers a blissful escape from the chaos of everyday life. Here, everything -- the vibes, views, and food -- is nothing short of magical.
This is dockside dining at its finest. If you've been riding the waves all day and suddenly find yourself ravenous, don't even bother going home to grab the car. Just pull right up into a slip and take the sidewalk leading inside.
Seating is available both indoors and out, with covered awnings shielding against heat and adverse weather. It's absolute heaven on the deck when a summer breeze rolls through.
As far as the food, you'll find a variety of mouthwatering options to choose from. Fish tacos and sesame-crusted tuna are just a few of the fresh seafood dishes available.
Sometimes, nothing hits the spot quite like a thick, juicy burger. Other down-home classics include chicken-fried steak, boudin balls, and succulent, slow-smoked barbecue.
Whatever you do, don't miss out on Happy Hour! It's from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. on weekdays and features $3 margaritas, $1 off beer, and $2 off appetizers!
