Flamingos are such cool creatures – for example, did you know their signature light pink color comes from the small crustaceans that make up their diet? Or how about the fact that flocks can be as large as 10,000 birds in the wild? There’s so much to love about these unique birds, and the Houston Zoo has recently unveiled a whole new way to enjoy them. Located just outside the flamingo exhibit, the Flamingo Terrace is a tropical-themed beer garden where you can crack open a cold one and chow down on bar snacks while admiring the amazing animals.
Ticket prices vary from day to day, so visit the zoo’s website or Facebook page for the most accurate information.
