There’s nothing quite like an old-fashioned wooden carousel. Not only are they timeless, but for many, they also evoke happy childhood memories of frolicking through carnivals, chomping down on cotton candy without a care in the world. Several antique carousels in Texas offer a peek into the past, however the oldest of them all can be found at Fireman’s Park in Brenham. It only costs $1 per rider, and it’s sure to make you feel like a kid again.
Visit the City of Brenham website for more information, including hours of operation for the carousel.
