No one likes to believe that bad people walk among us, destined to terrorize and destroy the lives of the innocent. However, the following people have done just that, and they were born right here in Texas. Here are some of the most evil people from our state that we will unfortunately never forget.
Also called "The Sunday Morning Slasher," Watts was a serial killer from Killeen who claimed to have murdered over 80 people in his lifetime.
Ramirez was a serial killer from El Paso who was convicted on 13 counts of murder in 1989. He terrorized residents of Los Angeles and San Francisco from 1984 to 1985, breaking into their homes and killing them with various weapons including a tire iron, machete, and guns. While awaiting execution on death row, he died of cancer.

Arguably one of the most infamous killers of all time in Texas, Yates drowned her five children in their bathtub in 2001. She admitted to suffering from severe postpartum depression and postpartum psychosis, and in 2006, the Texas jury found her not guilty by reason of insanity. She was first admitted to the North Texas State Hospital in Vernon, but is now in a low security mental hospital in Kerrville.

Another serial killer from Texas, Albright is also known as the Eyeball Killer or Dallas Snatcher because he surgically removed the eyeballs of his victims after shooting them to death. He was sentenced to life in prison without parole, and is currently incarcerated at the Montford Unit in Lubbock.

Born in San Antonio, Ball was a serial killer who was believed to have killed as many as 20 women in the 1930s.
King was one of three perpetrators in the heavily covered and controversial dragging death of James Byrd Jr in 1998. He was sentenced to death for his role in Byrd's kidnapping and murder.
The second man involved in the dragging death of James Byrd Jr, Berry was accused of cutting Byrd's throat before he was tied to the truck. However, that claim could never be substantiated, so he was spared the death penalty and, after being held at the Allan B. Polunsky Unit, is serving a life sentence at the Ramsey Unit in Rosharon, Texas.
Brewer was the third man responsible for Byrd's death, and was executed on September 21, 2011.
