Katie Lawrence is a Southeast Texas native who graduated 18th in her high school class with a GPA of 4.25. She attended college in the Houston area and began writing for OnlyInYourState in 2015.
Today, Katie writes, edits, and performs several other tasks for OnlyInYourState and has never been more passionate about a job before. Outside of work, you can likely find her curled up on with a hot cup of coffee, practicing yoga, baking, or exploring the beautiful Lone Star State (in particular, the vast and mystical West Texas desert).
When it comes to themed restaurants in Texas, we’re lucky enough to have plenty to choose from. Families can’t get enough of the undersea atmosphere at Uncle Buck’s Fish Bowl & Grill, and the jungle comes to life at Rainforest Cafe. I love art, so one of my personal favorite themed dining experiences in the Lone Star State is Honey Art Cafe in Houston. Creativity shines through in everything the cafe does, from incredible latte art to adorable cookies to the most beautiful artwork you’ve ever seen. You can even do DIY projects there!
Welcome to Honey Art Cafe! Even if you don't consider yourself an artist, if you like coffee and delicious treats, I promise you'll love it here.
Upon stepping inside, the decor will absolutely blow you away. The walls are covered in the most beautiful artwork you've ever seen, and the overall vibe is one of pure enchantment.
The drink menu is fairly large and includes coffee, tea, and other beverages such as lemonade. I definitely recommend the brown sugar latte - and just wait until you see the adorable latte art!
Macarons make up the majority of the dessert menu. They come in over a dozen cute-as-can-be designs and are filled with unique buttercream flavors such as cereal milk, lavender earl grey, and raspberry rose.
While you drink your latte and munch on macarons, you can participate in DIY projects such as coloring, jewelry making, bullet journaling, and more. You can even reserve the space for a private party!
So whether you're looking to make some art or simply enjoy some delicious treats and drinks in a beautiful space, stop by Honey Art Cafe next time you're in Houston.
