Katie Lawrence is a Southeast Texas native who graduated 18th in her high school class with a GPA of 4.25. She attended college in the Houston area and began writing for OnlyInYourState in 2015.
Today, Katie writes, edits, and performs several other tasks for OnlyInYourState and has never been more passionate about a job before. Outside of work, you can likely find her curled up on with a hot cup of coffee, practicing yoga, baking, or exploring the beautiful Lone Star State (in particular, the vast and mystical West Texas desert).
When it comes to themed restaurants in Texas, we’re lucky enough to have plenty to choose from. Families can’t get enough of the undersea atmosphere at Uncle Buck’s Fish Bowl & Grill, and the jungle comes to life at Rainforest Cafe. I love art, so one of my personal favorite themed dining experiences in the Lone Star State is Honey Art Cafe in Houston. Creativity shines through in everything the cafe does, from incredible latte art to adorable cookies to the most beautiful artwork you’ve ever seen. You can even do DIY projects there!
Visit the Honey Art Cafe website or the Honey Art Cafe Facebook page for more information, including current hours of operation and a full menu.
Have you ever been to Honey Art Cafe? What are your favorite themed restaurants in Texas? Tell us your thoughts in the comments! Check out our previous article for a nearby burger joint that locals can’t get enough of. If you’re interested in more DIY projects, Etsy is an arts and crafts mecca.
