There’s a bookstore in Texas that’s a little easy to miss. Good Books in the Woods is a shop that’s a little off the beaten path in Spring, Texas. The store looks a bit like a house, set back in the trees. But when you see the sign for this unassuming store, stop what you’re doing, hit the brakes, and head inside – you’ll be glad you did, because this shop is like a dream for book lovers.
Good Books in the Woods is located about a half hour north of Houston, just outside the Woodlands. The shop is worth the drive.
The shop is loaded with books for readers of all ages and shoppers in every price range. You’ll find everything from 25 cent children's books to $4,000 collectible first editions.
The selection is always changing, but the shop maintains an inventory of more than 40,000 titles, including mystery, science fiction, and children's books.
The store’s service is pretty wonderful. If you don’t see what you need, the owner will take down your information, track the book down, and get it delivered to you at the best price possible!
Allow plenty of time to explore and enjoy this special store. It’s easy to lose yourself in the wonderful maze of titles. Take a look around at the selection, or just relax in the store’s quiet, welcoming atmosphere and enjoy a good book!
The store is open Wednesday-Sunday. For store details, including contact information for the store’s helpful owner, visit the shop’s website. Texas is a very good place to be reader – there’s even a bookstore in Austin that sells books by the pound!
