When it comes to family-friendly activities, nothing quite compares to the zoo. Educational and fun for all ages – what’s not to love? From now until February 28, the Dallas Zoo is offering $8 admission, so you and the whole crew can marvel at thousands of animals without breaking the bank.
The temperature isn't all that's getting lower. From now until February 28, admission to the Dallas Zoo is just $8 per person!
Spanning 106 acres, the Dallas Zoo is the largest and oldest zoological park in Texas. It's home to a whopping 2,000 animals across more than 400 different species.
Over a million visitors attend the zoo annually, and it's easy to understand why. No matter what your favorite animal is, rest assured there's probably an exhibit dedicated to it.
The zoo is divided into two sections: ZooNorth and Wilds of Africa. In all, visitors can enjoy close to a dozen exhibits - there's even an app that helps you navigate!
Hands-on activities abound, the most popular of which has to be the Giraffe Feeding Station. These gentle giants sure love their rye crackers and lettuce leaves!
From hippos to crocodiles, tigers to exotic birds, this massive zoo has a little bit of everything. Other notable attractions include a children's area with interactive features, a train safari, and an endangered bird and reptile building.
