Outside of work, you can likely find her curled up on with a hot cup of coffee, practicing yoga, baking, or exploring the beautiful Lone Star State (in particular, the vast and mystical West Texas desert).
If the Lone Star State had one defining meal, it would be, in our humble opinion, chicken-fried steak and pie. One of the best homestyle restaurants in Texas to chow down on this iconic duo is New York Hill, a charming, family-owned eatery in Mingus. Quaint and unassuming, this rustic hideaway has been a local favorite for decades – and when you taste the food, you’ll understand why.
Have you ever dined at New York Hill? If so, did you try their chicken-fried steak and/or pie? Do you think it’s one of the best restaurants in Mingus? Tell us your thoughts in the comments! Don’t forget to check out our previous article for a nearby small town loaded with local history.
