If binge-watching crime shows is your idea of a day well spent, this experience is definitely for you. The Dinner Detective, in Houston, Austin, Dallas, El Paso, and San Antonio, is an interactive murder-mystery theater complete with a gourmet, 4-course meal, full bar, and plenty of laughs.
America's largest interactive murder mystery theater, The Dinner Detective has five Texas locations. It's a bonafide case of 'whodunnit,' with the scene being set before you ever step foot inside the room.
Meet new people as you practice teamwork and critical thinking skills to piece the crime together. Assume the role of an investigator for nearly three hours, with plenty of comedy thrown in to lessen the intensity.
Discover clues such as a composite sketch of the killer, objects used in the murder, and perhaps even the weapon itself. Whoever comes closest to cracking the case is awarded the title of 'Top Sleuth,' along with an awesome prize package!
Actors are hidden in the audience, adding an extra layer of mystery. Anyone and everyone is a potential suspect, so keep your eyes peeled, leave no stone un-turned, and don't get too comfortable. You might even start to look suspicious, so come with an airtight alibi.
A gourmet, 4-course meal includes appetizers, salad, dinner rolls, and your choice of either grilled chicken or seared cod, both served with zucchini, for the entree. A dessert of chocolate mousse follows, and tea + coffee are served throughout the meal upon request.
You'll have access to a full bar during the entire show, which is stocked with a wide selection of beer, wine, and cocktails. Discounts are featured nightly, but it is cash only, so be sure to have some handy.
Here are all the locations; you can visit The Dinner Detective's website for exact addresses. General admission tickets are $59.95 each, and the show typically lasts from 6 p.m. until 8:45 p.m.
