Holiday activities might be a little different this year, but in some cases, the reimagined versions are even better! That’s definitely the case with Dallas Zoo Lights, which is going drive-thru this year. From the safety and comfort of your own vehicle, marvel at millions of twinkling lights, including displays featuring your favorite zoo animals.
Going on its fourth season, Dallas Zoo Lights has quickly become a holiday tradition for North Texas families. Things will look a bit different this year, as the event is drive-thru only, but dare we say it'll be more magical than ever.
During the 30-minute journey, you'll drive past over a million dazzling lights. Marvel at the elaborate displays, including silk-covered lanterns depicting all your favorite zoo animals. Their luminous glow is ethereal in nature, invoking an air of enchantment that's impossible to deny.
You'll also see an ice palace full of adorable penguins, Christmas trees lit from head-to-toe, and so many more whimsical scenes. Don't forget to bring a camera—every second of this awe-inspiring experience deserves to be captured.
Fill your ears with festive tunes from the zoo's very own radio station, 1670 AM. If you aren't in the holiday spirit by now, rest assured that's about to change.
Even though the light display is all drive-thru, guests are welcome to explore Reliant Holiday Village, located at the end of the route, on foot. Holiday photo-ops, snacks, drinks, and themed glow items promise to make the night one to remember.
Certain limitations apply for vehicles, and protocols are in place to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Visit the Dallas Zoo website or Facebook page to learn more, including information about prices for goodie bags from the Holiday Village.
