What if you could enjoy all the perks of a luxury hotel while also getting back to nature? At the Iron Pig Ranch, that dream becomes reality. The ranch offers a safari tent boasting an array of modern amenities, so you can have the full camping experience in a far less rugged way. It’s one of the best places to go glamping in Texas!
Camping doesn't have to mean "roughing it," and you certainly don't have to at Iron Pig Ranch.
Located on a remote wildlife management ranch near Goldthwaite, this luxury safari tent allows for an immersive nature experience without sacrificing creature comforts.
The tent sleeps two adults in a queen bed, and has an additional futon for two children. It's basically a hotel room, with heat and A/C, running water, a fridge and coffee maker, and electricity.
While you can't cook in the tent, there is an outdoor kitchen with a microwave, fridge, and basic cookware, utensils, and dishes. The shower is outdoors, too (don't worry - it's totally private), letting you connect with your surroundings in every way possible.
Three miles of walking and biking trails meander around the property, plus a half-mile birdwatching trail. Guests can also enjoy a catch-and-release fishing pond, photography blind, and lots of interesting fossils!
There's even a communal, BYOB space where you can mingle with friends and other guests! Think of it as the lobby bar at a nice hotel - only far less pretentious.
The nightly rate for the safari tent is $129. Visit the Airbnb listing for more information.
