We Texans have some of the heartiest appetites around, and normal portions don’t often do the trick. That’s where T/R’s Steaks & More, a Southern comfort food buffet in the town of Center, steps in. Fried chicken, sausage & peppers, lima beans with bacon, and — of course — homemade pie and other scrumptious sweets. Come load up a plate…or three; no judgement here!
Unassuming restaurants are our jam here in Texas, and T/R's fits the bill perfectly. Since 1991, this family-owned buffet has been attracting hungry folks from all over the state with its Southern comfort food.
One buffet line features a salad bar, while the other is fully-stocked with down-home favorites. With endless portions and patriotic decor, you'll be hard-pressed to find many eateries that encompass our values more accurately.
Sausage and peppers, steamed carrots, blackened white fish, and lima beans with bacon are just a few of the hearty dishes available. You won't be able to stop at plate #1, so it's a good thing you won't have to.
Fried chicken with crispy skin that gives way to the juiciest, most succulent meat imaginable is the backbone of a good Southern meal. Zero judgement if you come back for seconds...or thirds.
Build-your-own baked potato with ground beef, nacho cheese, and whatever additional toppings you see fit. Just wait 'till you get a forkful of this deliciousness.
No country meal would be complete without dessert -- pie, to be exact. Several varieties, like pecan and coconut creme, are baked fresh each morning. Other treats include banana pudding, cookies, brownies, and eclairs.
