From pie to ice cream and everything in between, Texas has no shortage of opportunities to indulge your sweet tooth. One such place is the Chocolate Bar, a dessert shop in Houston that serves up decadent cakes, gooey cookies, and tons of chocolate-covered treats, among other mouthwatering morsels.
With two locations in Houston, the Chocolate Bar is every dessert lover's dream. It might look unassuming on the outside, but a wonderland of sweets is waiting just beyond these doors.
Upon stepping inside, your eyes won't quite know where to look first. Perhaps they'll settle on the enormous selection of gourmet chocolate bars, ranging in flavor from malt to pecan and everything in between.
Glass cases filled with all sorts of treats offer something sure to satisfy every sweet tooth. Chocolate-covered pretzels, both milk and dark, are just one of many indulgent options.
Pretzels aren't the only snacks that get a makeover. Moon Pies, Rice Krispy treats, and even fruit can all be found dipped in a thick layer of chocolatey goodness.
Never in your life have you tasted cake this scrumptious. Rich chocolate fudge, red velvet, tres leches, strawberry, and carrot are just a snippet of the choices -- and they're all rich, moist, and decadent as can be.
It wouldn't be a sweet shop without ice cream! Two dozen flavors, from classic vanilla to fruity sorbet to decadent peanut butter cup are all churned in-house using real Chocolate Bar candies and baked goods.
Cookie monsters, rejoice! You'll find a slew of options to choose from, with one thing remaining unchanged across the board: a buttery, gooey center that'll send your taste buds straight to heaven.
Nothing complements a sugar coma quite like a strong cup of coffee. Brewed fresh daily, the Chocolate Bar java is robust, palate-cleansing, and really hits the spot after chowing down on sweets.
Both locations of the Chocolate Bar are open from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday-Thursday, and 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. Friday-Saturday. Takeout and delivery are also available. Visit their website or Facebook page to learn more.
