There’s a new burger joint in town, and it’s trying to become your new favorite. After operating as a pop-up for two years, Houston’s Trill Burger opened its first brick-and-mortar location in June of 2023, and ever since, people have been lining up down the block for what some are calling the best burgers in Texas (and even the country!). The celebrity-owned restaurant offers double and triple-patty burgers with delicious toppings like caramelized onions, cheese, pickles, and special sauce.
While Trill Burger has been around since 2021, its first brick-and-mortar location opened in July 2023. The restaurant was co-founded by Houston-based rap legend Bun B, restauranteur Andy Nguyen, and Nick Scurfield.
The restaurant is located on Shepherd Drive in the Montrose neighborhood, breathing new life into a historic building that once housed a James' Coney Island eatery.
Despite having only been open for a few months, Trill Burger has already garnered a huge following - both of loyal fans of its former pop-ups and first-timers (who also become loyal fans after just one bite).

Either take your food to go or grab one of the tables inside (we recommend the latter for the full Trill Burger experience).
The atmosphere alone is reason enough to visit. It's always buzzing with energy and laughter, and I can almost guarantee you'll leave in a better mood than you came in with.
Two patties are smashed to perfection, topped with caramelized onions, pickles, and the restaurant's signature "Trill Sauce," and piled onto a perfectly toasted potato roll bun.
If you're really hungry, you can get an extra patty and make it a triple. Combo meals are also available, and for those who don't do beef, you can get a vegan burger.
Kids meals (both vegan and regular) are also on the menu.
So if you're ready to experience the hype that Trill Burgers has generated, visit the Trill Burgers website or the Trill Burgers Facebook page for more information.
Have you been to Trill Burger yet? If so, do you think it has the best burgers in Texas? Tell us in the comments!
If you have kids in tow, I highly suggest pairing your trip to Trill Burgers with a visit to the esteemed Children’s Museum Houston. It has 90,000 square feet of fun!
And if you’re looking for a great place to stay in the area, it really doesn’t get better than the Post Oak Hotel.
