We’ve all heard the saying, “one man’s trash is another man’s treasure.” This week-long event in Round Top, between Houston and Austin, is sure to satisfy your obsession with collecting items that only antique-connoisseurs recognize the value of.
When we say "small town," we mean SMALL. Round Top is home to less than 100 people, but that number is multiplied more than tenfold during the week of one of America's best antique shows.
The line is miles long every single year. Although the wait is long and agonizing, it's well worth it - and your anticipation will power you through each painfully slow minute that passes by. If you want a shortcut, VIP tickets are available. For an extra $20, you can enjoy early access (9am-1pm) on the first day of the show.
Split into two venues, you'll have to cover a lot of ground to see everything. This is the Big Red Barn, home to early antiques, English antiques, country antiques, fine glass, and more.
This is the Continental Tent, filled with fine antique furniture, decorative art pieces from France, Italy, and England, silver, paintings, and more. You'll definitely want to get tickets for multiple days to ensure you don't accidentally pass up a diamond in the rough.
All of the products are antique and vintage - no new items or reproductions are allowed. This rule protects you against potential scammers and ensures you walk away with only the highest quality treasures.
No matter your price range, you'll find something that fits your budget. Products less than $50 all the way up to more than $1000 will be available, and you can check the website to see if the exact item you're in the market for will be there.
The parking is free, professional shipping services will be on-site if you buy a particularly large item, and there are even food and drink vendors! Everything you need for a full, uninterrupted day of shopping.
