A Fort Worth icon since 1935, Joe T. Garcia's couldn't possibly have a more unassuming exterior.

When you go around back, however, a cobblestone walkway lined with all sorts of beautiful blooms paints an entirely different picture.

The famous Mexican restaurant does offer indoor seating (in a gorgeous atmosphere complete with ornate chandeliers and an A-frame wooden ceiling, might we add)...

...but everyone knows the real magic is out on the patio.

Like a traditional Spanish courtyard, the outdoor area boasts a relaxing fountain, lots of greenery, huge archways, a clay-tiled roof.

In terms of the menu, you won't find better Mexican food in all of Fort Worth. For starters, you can't go wrong with a basket of warm, perfectly salted tortilla chips and queso.

As for the main course, you'll have a variety of Mexican classics like enchiladas, tamales, and flautas from which to choose (all served with rice and beans, of course.)

How about a plate of sizzling fajitas with all the fixings?

Joe's also serves brunch from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. The menu features breakfast staples such as chilaquilas, migas, and huevos rancheros.

Make sure to save room for dessert! The flan is simply too delicious to pass up.

Pair your meal with a refreshing margarita piña colada, or glass of sangria to round out your Joe T. Garcia's experience. Mexican soda is also available for a non-alcoholic option!
