Sweltering temperatures in Austin mean one thing: It’s time to make a splash. These swimming holes near Austin make hot temperatures so much better — especially for those of you visiting our hot and sunny state. We may not be super close to any larger bodies of water like the ocean, but freshwater swimming is just as fine. You can find us exploring these waters throughout the year, as long as it’s warm outside!
1. Jacob's Well

Jacob's Well is about 45 minutes outside of Austin and is an artesian spring. Looks scary, but it is a very popular chill spot.
