The building started its days as a bottling facility in 1906. Decades later, this facility sat vacant and full of dust. In 1988, The Dr Pepper Company donated the structure to a non-profit who made it look like it did in its glory days. Just a few years later, The Dr Pepper Museum opened to the public, and it's been a local favorite ever since.
Alderton, a young pharmacist, was inspired by the sights and smells filling Morrison’s Old Corner Drug Store. He wanted to bottle up that unique feeling and drink it forever. After many failed attempts, he finally landed on the perfect combination of fruit syrups for his carbonated concoction.

The 1904 St. Louis World's Fair welcomed several American classics like ice cream cones and hamburger buns, but nothing quite compares to the joys of Dr Pepper. Over 20 million people were exposed to this new drink, and it changed the course of history.
