In the midst of downtown Austin’s shimmering skyscrapers sits a reminder of days gone by. Bremond Block is full of old homes that date all the way back to the 1850s. Stroll past the perfectly manicured lawns and gape at the exquisite architecture. This historic downtown neighborhood in Austin is full of jaw-dropping beauty.
Bremond Block is a unique district comprised of 11 gorgeous homes. The Victorian buildings are scattered across Guadalupe, 7th, and San Antonio Streets. It's the perfect outing for a leisurely, sunny day!
The Phillips-Bremond-Houston House was one of the first homes built in this district. Even though it's a simple one-story abode, the lovely shutters and quaint picket fence give it character.
John Bremond's House, built in 1886, is one of the most magnificent on the block. The glistening balconies and cast-iron porch really make this property shine.
The North Cottage may be small, but there's a layer of charm on top of it. This cozy home was built in 1879 by Harvey North. He passed this dwelling on to his daughter, Athalia, who used it as a music studio.
