Today, Katie writes, edits, and performs several other tasks for OnlyInYourState and has never been more passionate about a job before. Outside of work, you can likely find her curled up on with a hot cup of coffee, practicing yoga, baking, or exploring the beautiful Lone Star State (in particular, the vast and mystical West Texas desert).
With all the activities to do in Houston, parks aren’t usually anyone’s first choice – but you’ve never seen one quite like this. Eclectic Menagerie is an outdoor art gallery full of animals, trucks, planes, and so many more unique sculptures designed by a contractor of Texas Pipe & Supply, whose property the park is located on. Take a look:
Creativity and construction work don't usually go hand-in-hand, which is exactly what makes Eclectic Menagerie Park so unique.
Located on the property of Texas Pipe & Supply, the collection of 26 quirky sculptures is primarily the work of Ron Lee, who has worked as one of the company's contractors for over 40 years.
As offbeat as the sculptures are, they actually serve a much greater purpose. Many are constructed from unused pipes and equipment, so the park is doing the environment a huge favor!
