Wine and alpacas are both pretty amazing things independent of one another. But putting them together? Ingenious. Peach Creek Vineyards in College Station has all the right ideas, and this once-in-a-lifetime experience will leave you yearning to bring one of these adorable creatures home as a pet.
Peach Creek Vineyards is located at 2029 Peach Creek Rd., College Station, TX 77845.
Several varieties of both red and white wine are made from the very grapes you see here. They've all received countless awards, a tangible testament to the unparalleled quality that's obvious after a single sip.
Blue Hills Alpaca Ranch in nearby Navasota supplies the adorable guests. They're all extremely friendly, each one having its own unique personality. Enjoy your wine while getting up-close-and-personal with these furry, four-legged friends (but not too close, or else they just might steal a sip!)
While next month's event is sold out already, the ranch and vineyard partner with one another regularly. Keep checking Peach Creek's Facebook page so you won't miss this one-of-a-kind experience next time around!
Can't wait until the next wine + alpaca hangout? Make a day trip out of it and visit both places separately! The vineyard and ranch are just 30 minutes apart, so you can still get the full experience all year long.
In case you needed another reason to visit the ranch, we'll just leave this here. What better way to change up your annual family bluebonnet photos than by adding a few alpacas? This heartwarming scene definitely belongs in a picture frame.
At the vineyard, tastings are held from 2-5 p.m. Tuesday thru Friday and noon-6 p.m. on Saturday. Tours of the property are offered by appointment, allowing visitors to get a closer look at the whole winemaking process.
Grab a glass of your favorite vino to leisurely sip on the covered outdoor pavilion. Nothing quite compares to ending the day in stillness while marveling at a Texas sunset.
