We all deserve a fairytale-esque escape from the real world from time to time. After all, there’s nothing better than revisiting that familiar sense of childlike imagination and whimsy. If you want to step into a live storybook unfolding all around you, look no further than this Alice in Wonderland-themed tea house right here in Texas.
Even the exterior is as whimsical as can be. Fun paint colors and a playful font entice visitors and promise an unforgettable time for all.
Choose from all sorts of different teas: green, black, oolong, herbal, white, and red, and just about every sub-type you can imagine of all of them. There are also alcoholic drinks as well as breakfast, lunch, Saturday brunch, and Sunday brunch.
You'll have the option of sitting outside and pretending the Mad Hatter and March Hare are right across the table from you as you sip your cuppa. The multicolored walls, mismatched chairs, and very out-of-place tree trunk definitely add to the illusion.
There's even a little library inside! If you prefer to enjoy your tea in silence with a good read, this quiet nook is the perfect place to relax and unwind.
Plus, how cute are these tea kettles?! I can hear the "Unbirthday" song playing in my head just from looking at this picture. The only thing that could possibly make it any better would be if the cups said "Drink me."
And as for the food, it's absolutely scrumptious and exactly what you would expect from a quaint tea house. Menu options include dainty sandwiches, salads, breakfast burritos, and more yummy options.
And let's not forget about dessert! Nothing pairs quite as well with tea than a thick slice of pie, cake, or cheesecake. Just look at that chocolate sauce... yum.
Madhatter’s Tea House and Cafe is located at 320 Beauregard St, San Antonio, TX 78204.
