Texas is full of lots of awesome water parks to splash the day away at this summer, but one in particular really shines above all of the rest. Located in New Caney’s Grand Texas Theme Park, Big Rivers is a floating obstacle course complete with slides, ladders, trampolines, and plenty of other features guaranteed to keep the whole family coming back all summer long.
Known as "Wild Isle," this inflatable floating water park is the largest of its kind in Texas. Surrounded by lush greenery, it features a whopping 54 different obstacles just waiting to be conquered. All ages are welcome to take on the challenge!
Jump, slide, and climb your way through the course, competing with friends and family to see who completes it first. Try to stay focused - just one misstep could send you plunging into the water (which wouldn't be all that bad considering it's a gorgeous spring-fed lake).
Big Rivers also boasts several non-aquatic activities for those who prefer dry land. Interact with over 50 farm animals, mine for gems, tackle one of the tallest climbing walls in Texas, zip line, navigate a mystic forest maze, bungee jump, and ride ponies. The opportunities for a jam-packed day of family fun are truly endless.
"Gator Gulch" is one of the park's most talked about amenities. Visitors can get up-close-and-personal with these gentle giants, learning all there is to know about their habitats and lifestyles.
Additional attractions will be opening all throughout the summer, including a handful of thrilling water slides. Little tykes three designated areas to splash around, which feature sprinklers, easy slides, and an interactive play structure with more than 300 elements. Rest-assured there's plenty to keep the whole family entertained.
