Nothing hits the spot quite like ice cream on a hot Texas day. While there are many renowned shops throughout the state, small towns often harbor some of the best scoops. That definitely rings true in Sulphur Springs, where a two-story general store serves up more than 20 flavors of hand-churned ice cream in a nostalgic setting. Check it out:
Hiding in the small town of Sulphur Springs is a two-story general store with some seriously incredible ice cream. It might look unassuming from the outside, but rest assured, your visit will be a memorable experience.
Once inside, the vintage decor will take you back to yesteryear. Climbing up to the second floor offers a bird's-eye view of all the action, from little kids happily licking their scoops to families playing board games.
Each flavor is made fresh in-house and you can really taste the difference. Which one are you leaning towards? Pumpkin Praline and Peanut Butter Chip have our mouths watering.
Pick your favorite flavor (or two...or three — no judgement here!) and enjoy it plain or as part of a decadent sundae. Get it in a cup or cone, piled high with brownies, cookies, sprinkles, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce. Milkshakes and banana splits are also available if you're feeling a little retro.
