This Tennessee Wine Festival Takes Place In The Most Incredible Setting
Tennessee is known for its great food and beautiful vistas, but we’ve also managed to do something incredible: we’ve mashed them together in one of the greatest wine festivals in the south. Located in the heart of Chattanooga, our southern Tennessee city that’s rife with beautiful waterways and a darling downtown, the Wine Over Water Festival is coming up and you definitely don’t want to miss it. Have you bought your tickets yet?

The Wine Over Water Festival takes place on the Walnut Street Bridge in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This year, it will be held on October 6th.

The bridge stretches over the gorgeous and scenic Tennessee River, and having been built in 1890 it's one of the world's longest pedestrian bridges.

All food and wine that's offered along the bridge, with signature dishes from fantastic restaurants and eateries all over the city, will be included in the ticket price this year. We'd recommend checking out the delicious baked goods from Bluff View Bakery.

The Best Cellars Wine Tasting is actually held on Friday, October 5th from 5:30 to 8:00pm, and will be held at The Westin Hotel. The sister tasting isn't the only event that takes place in tandem with the festival - make sure to check out the Wine Over Water official site for extraneous "off the bridge" events!

There are all sorts of fun events taking place from Thursday to Sunday, though each will require a ticket to participate. All money is going towards a good cause, so if you head to the MLK Beer & Bites Party on Friday, your $35 ticket will go towards benefiting Cornerstones and their heartfelt preservation efforts around Chattanooga.

If you find yourself wandering the bridge on Saturday, you'll have the opportunity to try over 100 wines from wineries all over the world, and can sample heaps of fare from all over Chattanooga.

Musicians are set up across the bridge, playing for all to enjoy. It makes for a twangy addition to an already fun festival.

Wine Over Water will run until 8pm, so chances are you'll get to see the historic bridge light up and show out late into the night. Isn't it beautiful?
