Tennessee remains, and will remain, very far from the United Kingdom and its culture of Union Jacks and fish and chips. Although you most definitely will have to board a plane and perhaps a train as well as an automobile to make it from Tennessee to the heart of England, you can indulge in the cultural fare of the country from right here in the heart of the American South. The aptly named Union Jack’s is located in Knoxville, Tennessee, and it serves up a fun-loving atmosphere and a fabulous menu of British-inspired treats.
Union Jack's English Pub is located in Knoxville, Tennessee, and it serves as a low-key transport across the Atlantic. It's where you come for game nights and hangouts with your best friends, where your beer is paired with a casual atmosphere perfect for relaxation.
...which, yes, even without visiting looks epic and impressive. There's darts, billiards and pool tables, as well as a happy hour that serves as the perfect accent to a night out.
The bartenders are legendary and the space is truly one of a kind. It emits the cozy feel of a bar deep in the heart of the United Kingdom, and you can almost hear the tap, tap, tap of English rain as you indulge in a night out.
There are community events hosted throughout the year as well, both indoors and on the patio. We'd recommend stopping by for Trivia Night if you feel like you have the chops for it! There are also heaps of board games available so you can host your own competitive challenge.
Beer mustard and corned beef give the menu a traditional twist, but we'd also recommend the Guinness Beer Cheese or perhaps the Colossal Pub Club - stuffed with turkey, roast beef, ham and bacon between slices of wheat bread - if you're edging on hangry.
