My name is Chris Dodge and I live right here in the great state of Tennessee. My family and I are full adventurers filled with passion to see the amazing things our state has to offer. We are avid hikers and have explored many different places in Tennessee and beyond but we are always thankful to be living in such a glorious state.
When was the last time you took a long deep breath? Sometimes we find ourselves too busy to just enjoy the beauty all around us. I have been guilty of it too many times and when I recognize it the best thing to do is to book a place to stay in Tennessee. When life gets busy and you just want to get away from it all, a big city won’t do the trick. You will need a little town to escape to – somewhere that you can kick back and relax. There is a small village in the middle of nowhere that is calling your name. Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee seems to be stuck in time, and that is just one of the many reasons this is a perfect place for a weekend getaway in Tennessee.
Leiper’s Fork might be less than 20 minutes from Franklin, but it might as well be hundreds of miles away.
Rolling fields will be the only thing you will see around this little unassuming town. Leiper’s Fork, like many other small towns in Tennessee, has deep roots in all of the right ways. Southern charm is on full display in town, and no one is a stranger for long. You will be welcomed to your restful getaway with open arms, and you will quickly be introduced to their lovely country way of living.
This restored farmhouse will be a fitting place to kick back on the front porch. You will be only half a mile from the center of the village where there is great food, shopping, and live music. Just look at that iconic front porch, doesn't it just look like the most Tennessean thing you have ever seen? I love these front porches where guests can swing or rock while relaxing for the afternoon or a great way to start a quiet morning.

This farmhouse has been fully upgraded from the granite countertops to the overall sleek look, all while maintaining that classic farmhouse look.
This cottage will accommodate up to six people, so you can take along your family and have plenty of room. The rental features three rooms and two and a half baths. Downstairs you will find the master bedroom with a luxurious king sized bed. With plenty of windows, the whole place glows all while maintaining that 1930s charm the house was built upon.
People need a place to gather, and there is no better place in town than Fox and Locke. This place is more than just a restaurant - it is a hub for residents of the country town and travelers alike. You will feel welcomed and at home, and you can even listen to live music with some incredibly talented artists. The food is outstanding but the entertainment is even better with a consistent lineup of some of Nashville's best artists. This place has hosted some notable acts and a few of them surprise guests by showing up to sing a song from time to time. You never quite know what you will see at Fox and Locke but one thing for sure, it will be good.
The Creekside Trading Company has some of the most unique items, and you won't find anything else quite like it. It is almost something that needs to be seen to believe, but you can buy anything from a yeti toy to a ukulele. Treasures from local artisans and rare antiquities are on display for sale at Creekside, and it truly is a must-see during any visit to Leiper’s Fork. Oh, and if you go say "Hi" to the cat for me, he stays in the store with his owner.
Leiper’s Fork has a knack for artistic ability, and you can find lots of it on display and for sale.
One of the best places for that is at The Copper Fox Gallery. Farm-style pieces, paintings, and much more are available, and you never know what you might find. These impressive art pieces and the friendly staff alone will make your stay in this little village completely worth it.
Get away from it all with a weekend getaway in Tennessee. Allow the rolling hills of the countryside to be your guide to a peaceful and restful stay. You won’t be known as a stranger for long in this little village, and I think that is a great thing. Next time you need to escape to a beautiful hidden gem right here in our state, don’t look too far – make your stay at Leiper’s Fork. Leiper’s Fork holds true to its good old Southern roots. Another place that makes the core values of Tennessee living a cornerstone to business is The Ogle Brothers Country Store in Sevierville. Pay them a visit and learn from the values they pass down.
