The Chattanooga Choo Choo Historic Hotel is home to the historic Chattanooga Choo Choo Train, which began its journey into American history from Cincinnati in 1880.

The hotel originally opened in 1973, and it is a remodeled train terminal that was once slated for demolition. Instead, a group of local businessmen came together and saved the property, turning it into a hotel.

In 2014 the hotel was completely renovated and turned into a much more updated and welcoming spot. There are quite a few folks who come here for their honeymoon or anniversaries - it's that kind of neat, stunning spot.

The Silver Dollar Pizza Car is open for dinner every single day, and it's a great option for quick, made-to-order pizzas. You can also head over The Victorian Lounge, a bar with antique decor that will transport you back to the railroad golden age.

The STIR is an artisan drink and oyster bar that serves local food, and the Backstage Bar is another spot to head to if you're looking to enjoy something to drink at the Comedy Catch Club.

You can stay in one of the Pullman train car guest rooms; they are actually IN a train car, which is entirely magical. You can also stay in the historic MacArthur Building if you'd rather spend an evening on solid ground - without wheels, we mean. The building was named after one of the famous locomotives that ran through Chattanooga. Plus, there's a heated indoor pool!
