Maybe it’s just me, but I remember one year for Christmas I received a band new i-Pod. It was my big present and I was so happy to have all my music in one magical rectangle and not have to switch out CDs all the time. It seems funny to think of now, but it solidified something that day: good things can come in small packages. They don’t always have to be big flashy boxes, but can fit conveniently in a small inconspicuous box. Today we are going to feature a food truck, and while it may be small, just like a tiny MP3 player, it has much to offer. So consider this my *gift* to you: Smashed Tri-Cities, a tiny-but-mighty Tennessee food truck.
This little black box is known as the up-and-coming superstar of East Tennessee.
Smashed Tri-Cities is a food truck slinging out some of the best "smashed" burgers you have ever eaten. In only a short time of traveling around the Tri-Cites area, they have amassed quite a following.
If you don’t initially miss seeing the iconic black food truck as you drive by, you'll undoubtedly notice the scores of people.
You can imagine the adult version of excited kids chasing down an ice cream truck. Hungry patrons line up time and time again to get yet another taste of these delectable burgers because people come back time and time again.

You might be asking yourself, "What is a smash burger?" After all, you've likely have had a regular burger, but what makes a smash burger so good?
Everything! Smash burgers are created very differently from regular, ole patties: it's a ball of ground beef that's placed on a hot and seasoned grill or pan and *smashed* to flat and juicy goodness. Now they make their own, but this food truck business is always looking for a way to give back to those around them. It is just yet another reason folks flock to whatever location this food truck goes to next.
Word is out and this tiny food truck has made some serious waves in East Tennessee. They are growing and recently even bought a building so this growing company is really going places.
