We have tons of hotels that were built over 100 years ago, so there will be lots of stories of lost spirits and ghostly souls. One hotel that is known for its spooky lore is Union Station Hotel located in Nashville. Built around the 1900s, this iconic landmark is said to be haunted by a ghost of a young woman named Abigail. Prior to being a hotel, the building was used as a railway station, and legend has it that Abigail threw herself in front of a moving train after discovering that the love of her life perished in WWII. Her ghost now walks the halls of the hotel, and her spirit can be felt in room 711. Brave guests and ghost hunters can opt to stay in this suite. Another hotel that is equally terrifying is the Real House in Chattanooga. This hotel is haunted by a ghost named Annalisa Netherly. Unlike Abigail who killed herself in the name of love, Annalisa was decapitated by her lover in 1927. This gruesome act happened in room 311, and it is said that the suite is stricken with various paranormal activities. But there are many houses and mansions that have also gained their own recognition for the harrowing tales of ghosts, spirits, and paranormal activities,one of which is the historic Cragfont house in Castalian Springs that was built in 1802 by General James Winchester. This house is said to be filled with lots of ghostly activities. And visitors have reported seeing apparitions, candles flickering or lighting by themselves, objects being thrown or moved inside the rooms, and so much more. Today, the house is owned by the state, but you can schedule a tour if you would like to experience these haunting phenomena.
