An indulgent meal is one of life’s greatest and most simple pleasures, and the Rosecomb in Chattanooga, Tennessee manages to blend local tradition with an element of glamour and grace. Female-owned and locally operated, this stunning gem of a restaurant is tucked away in a historic neighborhood amidst the mountainous region of southern Tennessee. Come ready to enjoy a cocktail or two, and make sure you bring a hefty appetite. Every meal is worthy of a memory at this luxurious jewel box of a restaurant!
The Rosecomb is a traditional Southern restaurant that is tucked away in Chattanooga's historic Riverview neighborhood. Although reservations are not required they are highly recommended because this upscale eatery is both gorgeous and highly frequented.
Keep in mind that the restaurant is always 21+, so make sure you come without the little ones. The bar is always first come, first serve, so you can take your chances if you're looking for a quick trip rather than a leisurely meal. With those moody walls and rustic, yet luxe, decor elements though, you may want to stay awhile.
The menu is considered "contemporary Southern," so expect dishes like fried catfish and grits or sides of fried okra. Though simple, each meal is thoughtfully assembled. Every plate looks like something from a still life painting, but the flavorful contents abscond any kind of snobbery.
Visitors are encouraged to bring small groups, and the grilled cornbread has stolen the hearts of locals. Visit for Sunday brunch if you're feeling a sweet and savory cap to the weekend, and if you visit during the dinner hour there's nothing quite like the wine list.
Moody, vibey, and thick with a holiday energy, the Rosecomb treats visitors to an experience as much as a meal. Make sure you ask about the craft cocktails, and accouterments like herb butter add a perfect cap to any visit.
The restaurant was established inside a 1920s cottage, and the intimate space lends itself to indulgent meals and clinking champagne glasses. Smart casual dress is encouraged, but the dining style is casual. Wear something nice but perhaps not a tuxedo, just a dress that makes you feel beautiful or a button-up that you've always loved. A special evening awaits at the magical Rosecomb.
Have you been to the Rosecomb? Will you be visiting for a special occasion sometime soon? Make sure you try to make a reservation as early as possible because this stunning dining gem books up quickly.
