As the days get longer, though, you may find yourself yearning for a bit of adventure…and a visit to Spruce Fall Flats may be just what you’re looking for. Have you been?

Spruce Flats Falls is located in Tremont, Tennessee, a facet of the highly popular Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

If you visit, make sure that you come prepared for some rocky outcroppings and steep sections, especially when you begin the final descent to Spruce Flats Falls. The trail is very lightly trafficked, so you'll have the chance to truly invest in the peaceful beauty of the park.

If you have a couple of tiny adventurers, make sure that they understand the demands and difficulty of hiking a lesser-known trail in the heart of the park. It can be incredibly beautiful and enlightening for younger ones, igniting a newfound joy in nature and a healthy obsession with the Tennessee wilderness.

The falls themselves fall roughly thirty-feet down a rocky outcropping culminating in a crystal clear plunge pool at its foot.

What do you say? Would you visit for yourself, are you up for the hike? We're right in the heart of summer, so it may be about time to head on over to the heart of east Tennessee for a bit of fun in the great outdoors.
