My name is Chris Dodge and I live right here in the great state of Tennessee. My family and I are full adventurers filled with passion to see the amazing things our state has to offer. We are avid hikers and have explored many different places in Tennessee and beyond but we are always thankful to be living in such a glorious state.
The moon is full and shadows start to play tricks on your mind or are their sinister apparitions waiting in the dark? The fear starts to rise and that familiar panic starts to flood through your body. The feeling of being terrified of unknown threats and panic ensures. These are feelings we will come back to time and time again. It is the fuel for the horror genre and we keep feeding the beast. But what about a place that takes the horror theme to the food they prepare? We introduce you to Spooky Pizza in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and it is scary good.
Spooky Pizza is positioned on the outskirts of Murfreesboro far away from the surrounding business, far enough away that no one will hear you scream…Skeletons can be found hanging off the roof and that is just the start of the horror you can find inside.
This small eatery has a lot to look at, like the massive mural on the wall. An artistic take on classic horror movie monsters like a lurching mummy, a limping pizza delivery zombie, and a snarling werewolf.
Pizzas like Cheese To Die For, Hell Cheeses Over, and Voodoo BBQ are just some of the fun names. Not only do they have great names to pay homage to the horror genre but they are delicious. For meat lovers order the Zombie Feast, topped with meatballs, pepperoni, Canadian bacon, bacon, and Italian sausage. Rip into this tasty treat or invite a horde of friends to join you.
These are not your typical subs though because they have gotten a monster movie makeover. Nosh on a Paranormal Parmesan sub filled with breaded chicken, mozzarella cheese, marinara sauce, and parmesan cheese. Other great options include the Gives Me Willies Chicken Philly and the Pound of Flesh, but you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.
The grill is firing up some pretty tasty concoctions as well.
The Cannibal Lector burger pairs a juicy ¼ pound char-grilled chuck burger, sauteed onions, and swiss cheese between two toasted texas (chainsaw massacre) toast slices. You could order the Mushroom Cloud for a bacon and mushroom burger, or the Underworld Inferno which will add a little spice with every bite.
Make an order and take it on the run, or stay a little while longer and share a meal with some uninvited guests…
Spooky Pizza in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, does a great job of combining amazing taste with fun horror-themed puns. It is so good it may just have you running for the hills, and then telling everyone you know about this interesting place. Check out the menu yourself so you know what you want when you arrive or order before you go, either way, you won’t regret it, the food is to die for…
