The small town of Monteagle sits right on the edge of the Cumberland Plateau between Nashville and Chattanooga, but this town is so much more than a road trip pit stop, thanks in part to Papa Ron's.
Though it bills itself as an Italian Steakhouse, Papa Ron's is the king of the Mom and Pop pizza joints in Tennessee.

The restaurant itself doesn't have many frills, but with pizza this good, it doesn't need them. A meal at Papa Ron's is like having a family pizza dinner, but with way better pizza than you're used to at family functions.
