My name is Chris Dodge and I live right here in the great state of Tennessee. My family and I are full adventurers filled with passion to see the amazing things our state has to offer. We are avid hikers and have explored many different places in Tennessee and beyond but we are always thankful to be living in such a glorious state.
In the Volunteer State, there certainly isn’t a shortage of great restaurants and amazing places to visit. We are blessed to have some incredible places like Brooksie’s Barn in Jackson, Tennessee. This all-you-can-eat buffet not only has an amazing setting, but you might even call it the best buffet in all of Jackson! That is a pretty tall claim, but one thing is sure, if you plan a trip you will love it!
Brooksie’s is located in an old rustic barn which just pays homage to our great agricultural roots here in our state.
There is a deep connection between barns just like this and nostalgic memories. It brings to mind visiting your grandparent's farm or maybe even your own history of tilling the land. Either way, the barn stands as a proud icon for Tennessee.
Inside you will experience much of the same barn-style dining that you would expect. Tables spread out over an open area with exposed wooden beams adding to the rustic and charming look.
You can start your meal with a little bit of something light. The salad bar gives you plenty of options for your favorite green starter. Lettuce, croutons, eggs, bacon bits, veggies, and of course several dressings are just a few of the items found at this generous salad bar.
Vegetable quotient fulfilled, it's time for the mains!
Southern comfort food abounds with several fried options like chicken and a Tennessee classic, catfish. Add on some hush puppies, ribs, pulled pork, you name it if it's good country cooking then you’ll find it at Brooksie’s Barn. The bar is all you can eat so pile your plates on high but don’t forget to leave room for dessert.
The dessert bar is small, but offers southern classics we all have come to love and know.
Who doesn't love a little bit of peach cobbler? Finish off your meal with a bowl of banana pudding (another Tennessee favorite) or grab a simple cookie to top off an amazing meal.
With good old country cooking in an all-you-can-eat setting make Brooksie’s Barn in Jackson, Tennessee, one of the best options in the city. On top of that put the whole place in a rustic old barn and you have a nostalgic setting to make any native proud. For more information please follow Brooksie’s Barn on Facebook.
