My name is Chris Dodge and I live right here in the great state of Tennessee. My family and I are full adventurers filled with passion to see the amazing things our state has to offer. We are avid hikers and have explored many different places in Tennessee and beyond but we are always thankful to be living in such a glorious state.
Arboretums come in all kinds of shapes and sizes; and, in our experience, we haven’t found a bad one yet. We love to get outside and take a walk among the gardens, forests, and fields; these places are natural treasure troves teeming with flora and fauna. Reflection Riding Arboretum in Chattanooga, Tennessee, is no exception. This Tennessee arboretum is teeming with natural wonders to behold!
There are many things to do within the Arboretum boundaries like seeing the animals in the wildlife conservation, taking a canoe trip, or playing with your kids in the nature-themed playground. Perhaps the best way to enjoy this Tennessee arboretum is to simply lace up your shoes and journey along the Lookout Creek Trail.
The picturesque trail will give you plenty to see along the way like the lush green fields. Many of the places you walk by will have beautiful wildflowers to enjoy. You can bring your fluffy companion along for the trip too. Dogs are sure to love the trail and the chance to go for a lovely walk.

The section of the trail that lines the fields is quite stunning.
The green rolling hills with views of mountains in the background are just quintessential to Tennessee. There are exposed sections and classic forest places with a beautiful canopy of trees overhead to protect against the heat.
Keep an eye out in the field for horses that call the place home. There is just something special about seeing horses in a beautiful field with mountain views.
These peaceful places are perfect for just taking a quick break and enjoying the stillness of the water. Listen for the croaking frogs, watch the turtles swim about, and just simply take a moment to appreciate the tranquil beauty.
Heading into the wetland section of your walk gravel paths will give way to boardwalks as you work your way to a treehouse.
Perhaps this is one of the coolest places in the whole arboretum you can explore. this raised treehouse is worth spending a little bit of time to appreciate especially if you have little ones in your group.
Reflection Riding Arboretum in Chattanooga, TN is worth spending a whole day exploring. Taking in all there is to do will certainly take quite some time so make sure you plan ahead and leave yourself plenty of the day when you visit this incredible arboretum.
