As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
A weekend away delivers a breath of fresh air, a well-deserved respite from the requirements of daily life. There’s just something about a vacation that really resets the body and soul. Here in Tennessee, there are plenty of resorts and hotels you can take advantage of, but this waterfront retreat in Coalmont may just be the perfect getaway. Located right on the riverfront and perfect for a stay no matter the time of year, this modern, beautifully outfitted cabin is a true hidden gem.
The Coalmont is a 460 square foot "tiny" cabin that sleeps 4 to 6 visitors in the rural town of Coalmont, Tennessee. The cabin is located on 2.5 acres of wooded land that comes right up to the waterfront, and what was once a fishing retreat has been lovingly remade into a perfect getaway for visitors.
The family-owned cabin was renovated over the course of 2 years and though it does serve as a private retreat, the owners have opened the stunning sanctuary space to visitors from all around. You will find that though the square footage is low, the element of luxury is high.
You will find inside a full kitchen and charmingly outfitted bedroom and loft space, as well as a living room with plenty of seating and a wood stove for cozy nights. There is a full bathroom with a walk-in shower, and there is a prime coffee setup in the kitchen and dimmable lighting throughout. Don’t forget the free WIFI and spa-quality robes in the closet, too!
Can’t you just imagine yourself spending a long, luxurious night in this bedroom? The Tuft and Needle mattress is so relaxing you are bound to sleep straight until noon, and you can prime your evening with a dip in the hot tub.
Cozy up near the fire with a cup of coffee in the morning, or maybe gather ‘round a board game in the evening. You can fill your days with kayaking on the water, grilling at the outdoor fireplace, or simply gallivanting through the property’s 2.5 private acres.
There is no TV at the Coalmont, so you will find plenty of time to soak in the outdoor hot sub on the deck. There’s no need for prime time when there’s a fire pit outside, and if you bring your little ones they are bound to light up at the opportunity for outdoor exploration and fun.
What a beautiful place to stay. There is nothing like a vacation in the wilderness, and this waterfront cabin is a blank slate for all the good memories you have to make.
