It’s not a true trip to Tennessee without a massive plate of barbecue, and for locals, no week is complete without a solid meat-and-three served up with a smile. If you haven’t made your way out to Perry’s BBQ Company in Paris, Tennessee, then you’re definitely missing out. This locally owned and operated eatery is full of decadent eats, and the service is unlike any other. If you want to show up and be treated like family, then there’s nothing like a day spent at Perry’s. Come with an empty belly, and leave with a full heart.
The cafeteria-style restaurant capitalizes on affordable, quality food with a side of southern hospitality. Visitors can expect to find day-based discounts, like Soul Food Mondays and Wings Wednesdays. Teachers are given a discount on Thursdays, whereas Fridays honor public servants like first responders and city officials.
Meats are smoked on-site every day, and almost seven-year-old restaurant is proud to say that every side of meat served is hand-rubbed and hand-sliced. Make sure to order a classic side like macaroni and cheese or perhaps grilled corn while you're deciding on a cut of meat. Everything is good!
Each serving of meat comes with a sauce and can be bought by the pound, as a bundle, or by the plate. For example, the Hog Heaven Platter includes a half slab, 1/2 pound of pork, 1/2 pound of bologna, 1/2 pound of rib tips with four sides, bread and sauce for $35. It'll feed the whole family! Kids' meals are also available, and bbq plates and sandwiches if you're visiting for a quick in and out.
The BBQ sandwiches are dreamy and the brisket sandwiches are like something from heaven, but the Friday Fish Plate Special is another must-try. If you're a seafood lover you won't want to miss this plate of catfish, white beans, vinegar or mayo slaw, french fries, and hush puppies. It's bound to keep you full until tomorrow!
Will you be joining in all the flavorful fun? Paris, Tennessee sure knows how to show up and show out when it comes to a delicious meal, and this cafeteria-style eatery is high quality. You can visit for yourself from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day of the week except for Sunday.
