When you are ready to start adventuring, I would suggest doing a little waterfall chasing. Some of the best waterfalls in Tennessee are within a 30-minute drive from the cabin and if you stay during the winter you are in for a special treat.

Fall Creek Falls State Park is close by and if you catch it just right you might see a winter wonderland surrounding Tennessee’s largest waterfall. That isn’t all though, because the park features several wonderful waterfalls like Cane Creek Falls.
Savage Gulf State Park is another great location when you are looking for waterfalls. Greeter Falls is a gorgeous plunge fall that is always a delight to see, but other worthwhile hikes in the park are Stone Door, Laurel Falls, and Savage Falls.

If you are looking to escape the cold winter weather, head underground into Cumberland Caverns. This cave is a cool 56 degrees Fahrenheit all year long and offers various tours, from a gentle walking tour to an extreme caving excursion for those seeking a thrilling adventure.
