As I have traveled around Tennessee I have noticed just how charming our state is. From sprawling farmlands to the friendly people that make up small-town communities it confirms the thought about how special the volunteer state is. So when you are looking to settle down Townsend Tennessee is an undeniably beautiful place that is perfect to live a peaceful and simple life.
Imagine for a moment spending every morning waking up to see the fog roll off of the Great Smoky Mountains. Sipping coffee and watching the blue mist swirl and dance among the peaks and valleys of our national park would never get old. Townsend sits on the western side of the park so just about everywhere in town afford fantastic views of the mountains.

The tranquil beauty of the landscape soaks into the community and life takes a new pace. Getting outside has never been more alluring with miles and miles of stunning mountain forests to explore including vast overlooks and waterfalls.
Living in Townsend allows for quick and easy access to Cades Cove. Walk in the footsteps of the people who lived off the land in years past and enjoy a pleasant drive looking for wildlife.
Like most small towns in Tennessee, it's the people that make a place so irresistible. Places like The Abby makes a point to gather the community around great-tasting food.
Around the Smokies you will find all kinds of little shopping centers where you can browse aisles of homemade gifts and find very unique items. The Apple Valley Mountain Village is one such place and also has an amazing cafe.
Doesn’t this town just seem too good to be true? Imagine again traveling home down a dirt road to your countryside farmhouse as the sun settles behind the distant mountains. Doesn’t that just sound like a romantic way to live your life?
