Nashville is known for being a creative city. It’s the kind of place you move to when you have a grand dream that requires fulfilling. The city welcomes artists and entrepreneurs alike, and one of its newly booming economies centers around the experiential food business. Old Glory is a stunning local bar that’s tucked away in the Edgehill Village neighborhood, in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it location. If you haven’t visited, then you’re one elevated cocktail away from your new place of places. Check it out below!
Old Glory is the brainchild of sisters Britt and Alexis Soler, both of whom managed to take a 1920s boiler room and transform it into a unique cocktail bar. Once the White Way Cleaners building, it now boasts a full bar, seating areas, and an entrance off of an alleyway. You'll know you've reached Old Glory by way of the yellow triangle that marks the door.
There's no denying that this beautiful space has a moody aesthetic. With over 2,000 square feet perfect for expansion, it's been a labor of love to honor the building's history while providing a stunning spot for small bites and craft cocktails.
The drinks and snacks menu ranges from classic white wines to contemporary twists on a "proper martini." Folks rave about the Preserved Lime collins, made with Foro's gin, and the Paper Plane is made with Four Roses Bourbon.
Come for happy hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. from Monday to Friday to snag an $8 cocktail, a $2 beer or $6 glass of wine. It makes for the perfect way to end the day!
On Saturday mornings, Irish Coffee and an OG Bloody Mary are the name of the game. For $13, you can walk away with a specialty drink as well as an empanada. Keep in mind, veggie and chorizo empanadas make up the entirety of the food offerings at Old Glory.
