East Nashville and West Nashville are two of the hottest neighborhoods in the city, but they have their undeniable differences that make them each unique in their wonderful and quirky ways. If you're deep in East Nashville, you've got to either take Gallatin to get out, or you've got to cross it. Neither are terribly exciting prospects.

With so many ways to get in and out of West Nashville, traffic is a much less harrowing prospect on that side of town.

This is an important metric when comparing two neighborhoods, but we'll put it this way: Google "East Nashville Tacos" and you get results like Mas Tacos, Rose Pepper, and Local Taco. Google "West Nashville Tacos" and you get Moe's and Taco Bell. We rest our case.

East Nashville is very objectively defined, but where exactly does West Nashville start and end? Everyone has their own thoughts and opinions, and chances are they're all right.

McCabe Park, West Park, and Charlotte Park are all great options for getting outside and exploring the great outdoors. It also has better access to other parks in the city like the Warner Parks in nearby Belle Meade. East Nashville does have its parks and greeenways, but West takes the cake here.

Another big metric in neighborhoods, especially for folks with families, is the number of Targets in the neighborhood. West has 2. East has 0, and their closest one is in Rivergate.
