Oh, Nashville. We never get tired of your neat places to eat, your charming art galleries, and the buskers that keep the streets of Music City singing. Up until recently, you were most likely to find bars with a whole lot of country twang and grassroots vibes located throughout Nashville. In East Nashville, however, there has been some solid change when it comes to bars and restaurants, and Pearl Diver is one of the city’s newest and neatest additions. A tiki bar with a retro vibe and a rotating menu has folks falling in love with Nashville all over again, and we have a feeling you’re going to love it too.
Pearl Diver opened in Nashville's hip East Nashville neighborhood in the summer of 2018, and it's become a must-visit for locals and tourists alike. The neat cocktail lounge is like nothing else in Music City.
Inside, you'll find that island vibes have been elevated in true Nashville fashion. Expect mid-century modern takes on island decor, with plenty of curves and spheres and sea foam green throughout the space. There are even round windows that will make you feel like you're on a boat!
Outside there's even a rotating number of surfing movies that are played on a projector screen. The outdoor patio is just as colorful as the indoor space, with cabanas and even a gathering area that's reminiscent of afternoons spent by the pool.
If the bright colors and neat design don't remind you of Hawaii, then the menu is bound to! You can sit at the bar and watch your bartenders create fun tiki drinks, or you can gather with friends at one of the booths and wait for the cocktail's ultimate reveal.
You'll find classic cocktails like Mojitos, Daquiris, and Mai Tai's available for order, as well as a series of signature drinks like the dark rum-based "Yum Yum" or the "Devil's Flower" made with Blanco tequila.
Hungry? You can pair your meal with a collection of sandwiches and fries available for purchase. They're great to share, but would you want to? Other favorites include plates of wings, a Cubano sandwich, and pork dumplings.
Will you be visiting Pearl Diver? You can visit from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. every day of the week.
What a perfect escape during the summertime. Is there anything better than an experience bred by the islands? You can learn more about the Pearl Diver with a visit to its official Facebook page or website.
