If you live in Nashville, then you know that restaurants pop up every day with newly improved menus and all sorts of wild experiences in tow. In the heart of East Nashville, a hipster haven and taco enthusiasts jungle, The Sweet Bean has opened to quiet, if dedicated, fanfare. Located just across the street from the ever-popular Mas Tacos and Pharmacy Burger, it’s the sweetest spot in town.
The Sweet Bean opened up in, "The Barn," a classic, turn-of-the-century carriage house located in East Nashville. It's a fun atmosphere that offers folks the chance to indulge in a cup of cocoa or coffee, or perhaps even spin their own cotton candy.
Owned by Dave and Julia, the husband-and-wife duo has quickly created a quirky and fun-loving spot out of their tiny corner of East Nashville.

Whimsy is the word at Sweet Bean, and the community has welcomed the coffee newcomer with open arms. This is no "snooty" coffee shop. This is where you come to indulge and feel right at home.

Make sure you check out all of the seasonal drink specials as well. The peppermint addition to the holiday season was a welcome surprise, but on a regular day, we may go for an iced Cuban or vanilla chai latte. For roughly $3 a pop, there's no beating the menu OR the prices.
The Sweet Bean carries pastries from the ever-popular Sweet 16th Bakery in East Nashville. Hours are from 11am to 8pm, Monday through Thursday, and from 10am to 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Make sure to get your fill during the week, though. This sweet little shop is closed on Sundays!
It looks pretty magical, doesn't it? You can visit for yourself at 924 Mcferrin Avenue in East Nashville, across the street from Mas Tacos.
